Tips To Get Traffic From The Real Time Searches

Tuesday, September 8, 2009

Getting a lot of traffic on a blog is the hope of all bloggers. But it will not come by itself. All need to work hard, starting from a concept of blogs, using keywords, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and may also blogwalking. There are a few tips to get traffic from the Real-Time Searches that might be useful for those of you who want to optimize your blog with the search.

The concept of Real-time search is an emerging concept of using real-time search engine that will bring you the results with time / date. This does not always meet the relevance, and that's why there are a lot of work to be done in this field. So, if the results of real-time based on time / date, and user demand, it makes sense that time and those queries are the most important component in getting the content found in this type of search.

1. Keywords
Use the right keywords for each article will provide tangible results and this keyword is the most important element. If you write an article, you must consider what people will be included in those updates if they share in social networking, whether it be Facebook, Twitter, or whatever.

More often than not, they are going to include the title. If the right keywords are in the title, then those keywords are also more likely to appear in any ensuing tweets, Facebook updates, etc. If someone searches for those keywords, they will be more likely to find your content in a real-time search. The same goes for your own tweets / status updates. Even if you are not sharing the article, if you want your update to be found, use relevant keywords. Again, obvious, but true.

2. Talk About Timely Events
Writing articles related to the current events is an effective way to get search results bail. Mention current events that will put you straight into the results for each search that is related to the topic, as long as the right keywords in the play. This is a method that can be, and (of course is) which is used by spammers, but that does not mean you can not give a legitimate conversation and just put yourself into more people's radar, without wasting a link to them every time.

3. Have a Lot of Followers
Another way of including effective is to get a lot of followers in social networking. Many followers on Twitter If you have lots of followers or friends on social networks, or even just your blog readers, you'll get more people sharing your content. More and more people sharing your content, the more impressions your content will make the entrance to the real-time search.

There is no easy way to quickly get a bunch of legitimate readers / followers. This will take some promotion. Providing useful content that people will be connected to and will spread virally. Provide ways clear for them to follow you (like a link to a Facebook page and Twitter account on your blog).

4. Promote Conversation
Whether on your blog or on a social network, spark conversations. Talk about topics that people are interested in. This is tied to number 2. The more conversations you are involved with, the more retweets (and equivalents on other networks) you are likely to get. And again, this means more impressions in real times searches.

5. Calls to include Engagement
Retweet button from Tweetmeme I recently talked about why there is more to retweeting than meets the eye for businesses. I mentioned the use of buttons like Tweetmeme's and Digg's. These are buttons you can put on articles that show the amount of retweets / diggs that article has. They kind of act as a meter for engagement.

These buttons are certainly not all-encompassing. They only represent the conversation on 2 channels, and not the web in general. I'm sure there are other buttons that can be used in addition. More importantly though, they provide a "call to action" to share the content. People can digg or retweet a story with a simple click, and you're one step closer to being found in somebody's real-time search.
